About Us

Based in central Louisiana, we have been home to the sass loaves they call corgis (lol) for over 10 years! We pride ourselves on the quality, longevity of our legacy, and the extended family we have through our pups!

 We were heavily involved in rescue/foster animals-not just dogs- LONG before we ever thought about breeding! We know through long and educational hours of volunteer work, working at vet clinics, and shelters what exactly it takes to have a clean, sanitary home for them to grow and thrive, the dedication it takes to these adults and pups mental and physical health, and the knowledge it takes to get them started in the best possible way we can! Set up for success is how we like our pups to enter their new families! 

     As our family grew, we knew we needed a CONSISTENT and predictable partner for our growing family. So we began the hunt for our perfect furry addition to our small hobby farm and to take with us horse riding at rodeos or camping. Unfortunately, we ran into lots and lots of bad structures, temperaments, coats, etc! This is where we realized there was a major lack of quality, HONEST breeders in the region, and we absolutely fell in love with each and every poorly bred little loaf we bought! Our hearts were heavy from the lifelong suffering these dogs would endure, all from the total disregard for the puppies beyond the point of sale. This is where we began our long hunt for the pillars for our program!

We pride ourselves on the fact our dogs are not only beautiful but everything you could want in a family companion and friend. Our breeding dogs came from far and wide; went through many rigorous tests and time to determine if they TRULY were made of what it took to be a Bleu Bayou Corgi. 

We believe in quality over quantity! So while we may not ways have pups available, we can promise you a happy healthy fur baby and lifetime breeder support! 

Nature & Nurture are the two things that makeup and mold any creature. This is no different for corgis, that's why we raise our pups in our home alongside our human children (lol). They are our family too! They are socialized and handled from day one. We begin basic obedience, potty training, and proper social skills with lots of desensitization work for the most well-rounded pup ever! 

Considering a Welsh Corgi puppy of your own? They are breeds descended from Prembrokshire & Wales. They were bred for herding or moving livestock! 

They are large and in charge, yet sweet and affectionate breeds! They are the most amazing working partners or family companions with the right guidance and knowledge of temperamental pairings of the parents! We are proud to offer our bloodlines which are well ranged enough to do EXACTLY what we selected their parents(s) to do for us; be excellent in all aspects and every direction! We have parents and pups with new families who excel in service companions, agility pros, and the world's best rainy day couch partners!
